For over 10 years I had pain when my heels touched the bed while sleeping. I tried stretching exercises but they did not help. I was forced to place a pillow under my ankles at night, or sleep on my stomach with my feet hanging off the bed. This in turn caused chronic pain in my lower back. After a few acupuncture treatments I am once again able to lay on my back in bed, without pain in my heels.
